Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup of ARUN Rice flour
  • 1 cup ARUN gram dhall flour
  • 1/4 cup of corn flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of white cumin (pounded)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of omam grains (pounded)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of planta
  • Adequate water
  • Groudnuts (fried)
  • Curry leaves (fried)

Instructions

  1. Mix the main ingredients as listed above until it become like capati dough.
    (Chili powder can be added according to individual needs if you want a spicy omapodi)
  2. Gradually add the dough into a small perforated murukku mold and produce a long thin murukku.
  3. Fry until golden brown color.
  4. Mix the fried groundnuts and curry leaves with the fried omapodi.
  5. Omapodi is ready to be served.
